Plantiga 2.36
We have worked on some seriously big things this month that ups the game when collecting, visualizing, and actioning our data.
Game Report
Introducing the Game Report. See the most important aspects of on-field play in a concise report summarizing load, accelerations, decelerations, and asymmetries.
AthleteLoad™
I’m stoked we’re here - after many months of development we are introducing what we call AthleteLoad™. Load monitoring is widely understood to be critical for managing the physical demands placed on athletes’ bodies in training, games, and practices.
Our measure of mechanical load takes all of the accelerations at foot-strike and toe-off, and gives a good proxy for the external load exerted on the body. We measure this load per limb, across both limbs, and at impact and push-off. This means we can dig deep into HOW athletes are moving in the real world.
AthleteLoad™ enables us to take athlete monitoring to an even deeper level.
PlantigaONE Insoles
This has been in in the works for almost 8 months. We have joined forces with a seasoned expert in the footwear industry, Doug Sheridan. With an impressive background at adidas, Puma, Converse, and serving as a Director and Shareholder at Native Shoes and Purra Performance, Doug brings deep domain expertise and the vision needed to execute on our insole and footwear roadmap.
Together, we are excited to announce the PlantigaONE Insoles. These high-performance insoles are made of a high energy return EVA in a moulded shape to provide both heel and in-step support. The top fabric is made of an anti-microbial material that is perfect for extended use in elite athletic environments. These insoles are currently in use with basketball, baseball, running and golf athletes.
In the coming months, we’ll launch 3 other insole lines aimed at soccer/football cleats (low profile), running and skating (hard heel shell).
Cleaner Data Visuals
We’re always working to simplify the data viz. Now you can understand and contextualize asymmetry data better with bolder x-axis lines, normative data colour bands, and clear Left / Right markers on Asymmetry Trend Plots.
We have also moved the Trend Plot configuration settings to a “more” icon, so you can focus on the data with as little clutter as possible.
Any and all feedback is welcome. March is shaping up to be another big month for product updates, so keep an eye out for that.
Cheers,
Quin and the Plantiga team
